Railinc recently appointed Todd Bolon vice president and chief information officer.
Bolon has served Railinc’s information technology (IT) group in various capacities since 2003. He previously held a number of IT positions at GE Rail Services, Trans World Airlines and CSX Corp. subsidiary Sea-Land Service Inc. during the past 20 years.
Bolon will be responsible for various IT projects, including the application of geographic information system and mapping tools to Railinc’s online services. The first application will roll out later this year.
Railinc provides information technology services to North American railroads, shippers, equipment owners and suppliers, and manages e-commerce Web site Steelroads.com.
