Pinsly Railroad Co. President and CEO Ryan Ratledge recently was appointed to the Surface Transportation Board’s (STB) Railroad-Shipper Transportation Advisory Council (RSTAC) as the small railroad representative. He will serve a three-year term.

RSTAC provides advice and recommendations on regulatory, policy and legislative matters to STB members, the U.S. secretary of transportation, Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation, and House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee.

Ratledge has more than 30 years of freight-rail experience. Throughout his career, he has consistently demonstrated strong leadership in enhancing rail operations, safety and customer service across a broad portfolio of railroads, Pinsly officials said in a press release.

Since joining the company in 2022, Ratledge has provided guidance through a period of significant growth, expanding Pinsly’s holdings from two to nine short lines through strategic acquisitions, they added. He also has helped the company add warehousing, transloading and trucking capabilities.

“I am honored to represent Pinsly Railroad and small railroads across the country on the RSTAC committee,” said Ratledge.
