Hub Group Inc.'s former Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer Kevin Beth and Chief Operating Officer Brian Meents have departed the company following an internal audit. Concurrently, Hub Group appointed Todd Heeter CFO and treasurer on an interim basis. Heeter has more than 30 years of finance and accounting experience. Beth and Meents will remain available on a consulting basis for a transition period, Hub Group officials said in a press release. Under direction of the audit committee, Hub Group is taking "corrective actions," including enhancing financial reporting processes, they added. The company is working on restatements of previously issued financial statements from 2023 through March 2026.
Anacostia Rail Holdings has appointed Jim McDonald general manager of Northern Lines Railway (NLR), effective immediately. He succeeds Quentin Schulte, who previously served as NLR president. His appointment reflects the "evolving needs" of NLR, Anacostia officials said in a press release. McDonald joined Anacostia in March 2024 as trainmaster for the Louisville & Indiana Railroad. He began his rail career in 2011 with the Indiana Rail Road Co. and has served as a board member of the Brown County Water Utility Inc. for the past 30 years. NLR operates and maintains 25 miles of BNSF Railway-owned track in and near St. Cloud, Minnesota.
Miner Enterprises Inc. is promoting Paul Aspengren to executive director of sales, effective Aug. 1, when the company's top sales executive, Bill O'Donnell, plans to retire after 31 years with the rail-car components manufacturer. Aspengren has served Miner for more than 23 years and has been key to developing several Miner product lines, company officials said in a press release. He will oversee all sales, service and marketing for Miner's rail products globally.
The Vancouver Fraser Port Authority has appointed Jeff Scott as vice president of operations and supply chain, effective June 1. He has more than 30 years of experience across ports, terminals, transportation, logistics and industrial operations, port officials said in a LinkedIn post. Scott has previously served in top leadership roles at Fibreco Export Inc., Coastal Pacific Xpress Inc. and DP World Fraser Surrey, according to Scott's LinkedIn profile.
The Gateway Development Commission (GDC) has appointed John Bartlett as general counsel. He will oversee all legal matters related to the delivery of the Hudson Tunnel Project, including procurement, contracting, litigation and commercial negotiations. He will also advise the commission on legal and regulatory matters, GDC officials said in a press release. He most recently was a partner at Murphy Orlando LLC, where he has practiced since 2012. The commission also named Maria Anderson chief ethics and compliance officer and board secretary. She joined GDC as deputy general counsel in January 2024 and has served as acting general counsel since August 2024.
