The Greenbrier Cos. Inc. yesterday announced that Ted Baun has joined Greenbrier's North American commercial team as senior vice president. He will become chief commercial officer in January 2026, succeeding Tim Schitter, who will retire at the end of 2025. Baun has more than 30 years of rail industry experience. Most recently, he served as CCO at PNW Railcars, where oversaw the tank and freight rail-car fleet and directed efforts to maximize new rail-car leases and renewals. Before joining PNW, he spent 23 years at FreightCar America and its predecessor, Johnstown America, including 11 years as CCO. At FCA, Baun managed production planning, scheduling, pricing and commercial activities. He also held a senior sales role at Mitsui Rail Capital, LLC from 2003 through 2005, according to a Greenbrier press release.

ALCEA, an ASSA ABLOY company and global provider of total security solutions for critical infrastructure, has appointed Dominique Jardin to the newly established role of vice president, head of Americas. The company created the leadership position to support ALCEA’s growth strategy in the region and to align with ASSA ABLOY Global Solutions' critical infrastructure focus on security software innovation and system integration. With 26 years of experience in business development and leadership within ASSA ABLOY, Jardin brings deep expertise in the critical infrastructure security sector, ACLEA officials said in a press release. In his new role, Jardin will focus on growing ALCEA’s market presence, supporting mergers and acquisitions, and strengthening relationships with key critical infrastructure customers.
