Anacostia Rail Holdings has named Aimee Nolan chief legal officer to oversee legal, compliance, governance and risk functions, according to an Anacostia press release. Nolan joins the company as Mark Sidman, general counsel and corporate secretary, prepares to retire at the end of March. Most recently, she served as general counsel at Zoro Tools Inc., a subsidiary of W.W. Grainger Inc. Prior to that, Nolan served W.W. Grainger for over 25 years, rising to the position of vice president and associate general counsel. "As we look ahead, [Nolan] brings the strategic mindset, operational discipline and experience needed to help [Anacostia] scale responsibly and advance our mission in the years to come," said Anacostia CEO Peter Gilbertson.

The San Diego Metropolitan Transit System (MTS) has promoted Daniel Brislin from deputy director to director of transit security and passenger safety. He joined MTS in 2023 and assumes the director role from Tim Curran, who retired last month, MTS officials said in a press release. As director, Brislin oversees the transit system's 81 code compliance inspectors and 232 contracted transit security officers. He has nearly 30 years of public safety sector experience. As deputy director, Brislin led efforts to increase security officer presence on MTS buses, trollies and transit hubs; streamlined the system's security hotline; created an investigator position in the department; and implemented ongoing training for staff in de-escalation, use of force, implicit bias and anti-discrimination. These initiatives, among others, resulted in a 24% reduction in crime across MTS in the first eight months of 2025, MTS officials said.
