Norfolk Southern Corp. recently appointed Deborah Butler executive vice president of planning and chief information officer, and Fredric Ehlers, VP of customer service to succeed Butler. Both appointments are effective June 1.
Since joining NS in 1978, Butler has held various operations department positions, including assistant VP of transportation customer services. She will report to Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer Wick Moorman.
Most recently AVP-executive, Ehlers has served in a number of transportation positions, including director of transportation planning and operations systems, since joining NS in 1985 as a management trainee. He will report to Vice Chairman and Chief Operating Officer Stephen Tobias.
