MARS board elects officers for 2015

The Midwest Association of Rail Shippers (MARS) recently elected its 2015 slate of officers, with George Macko serving as president.

Macko is president of SCO-Pro LLC in Naperville, Ill. Also elected during MARS' recent winter meeting were Michael Barth, director of sales at CSX Transportation, Oak Brook, Ill., as first vice president; and Michael Jones, transportation manager at North Dakota Mill in Grand Forks, N.D., as second vice president.

In addition, the new MARS officers welcomed new members to the board's executive committee: Melissa Cohen, director of planning and polymer logistics at Styrolution America LLC, Aurora, Ill.; Carrie Evans, VP of sales and marketing at Iowa Interstate Railroad Ltd., Cedar Rapids, Iowa; Stefan Loeb, senior VP at Watco Cos. LLC, Downers Grove, Ill; Chris Meyers, senior manager of global transportation at USG Corp., Chicago; and Bryan Vaughan, commercial sales leader at GE Capital Rail Services, Chicago.

The association's annual summer meeting will be held July 13-14 in Lake Geneva, Wis.
