The University of Denver/Intermodal Transportation Institute’s (ITI) board recently elected Michelle Livingstone as a member. She is vice president of transportation for The Home Depot.
In addition, two members of the board — which includes more than 50 representatives from freight and passenger transportation firms, and shipping companies — retired and were elected to emeritus status: John Bowe and Alan Stone.
A former vice chairman of the board, Bowe has been a strong supporter of ITI and its programs, institute officials said in a prepared statement. A representative of a shipper Stone Container Corp., Stone is a founding member of the board.
“Alan Stone provided the important input of major users of intermodal transportation and encouraged broadening the educational programs to include a supply-chain perspective,” said Board President George Woodward. “John Bowe was a key proponent of solidifying industry support for ITI’s executive masters program among major transportation carriers.”
