Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) recently appointed Marcia deVaughn deputy general manager.
She’s served BART the past six years, most recently as executive manager of transit system compliance, overseeing the Office of Civil Rights, Internal Audit and System Safety departments. Previously acting executive manager of the Office of Planning and Budget and executive assistant to former BART GM Tom Margro, deVaughn oversaw the agency’s Energy Division and served as the general manager’s liaison to the inter-departmental security committee.
Prior to joining BART, deVaughn worked for the city and county of San Francisco as deputy director of public works for operations and director of the solid waste management program.
