APTA names 2024-25 board executives

American Public Transportation Association’s (APTA) nominating committee selected the 2024-2025 executive committee and board of directors when the panel met last week in Chicago.

Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada CEO MJ Maynard will serve as APTA chair and Regional Transportation Authority of Chicago Executive Director Leanne Redden will serve as vice chair for 2024-25, according to APTA's news site.

Current Chair Michele Wong Krause will become an APTA immediate past chair and Jeffrey Wharton, director of contracts and technical services for Systra Engineering, will serve as secretary-treasurer.

APTA members will vote on a slate of 2024-25 board nominees Sept. 28 during APTA’s TRANSform Conference in Anaheim, California. Each would serve three-year terms.
