Progressive Railroading is calling for nominations for the 2026 Women Of Influence In Rail program.
The magazine is seeking railroad companies' nominations of female employees who meet the criteria for influence in one of four categories: leadership, innovation, technology or sustainability. We want to know how your nominee's influence has left a meaningful impact on your company and/or the rail transportation sector.
Companies may nominate up to four employees, one per category. Recognition is open to women working for North American Class Is, short lines, regionals, passenger railroads, or rail industry suppliers, contractors, product manufacturers or engineering firms that contract with railroads. This year, we also will accept nominations of women who work for rail industry associations.
Women of Influence in Rail honorees will be announced in Progressive Railroading's Daily News in January 2026, then recognized on the magazine's website and in print in March 2026. A virtual award celebration program will be held in spring 2026.
