Steel Dynamics names Hollman VP

On March 22, Steel Dynamics Inc. named Bert Hollman vice president. Since 1999, he has served as president of New Millennium Building Systems L.L.C., which became a wholly owned Steel Dynamics subsidiary last year. Hollman will continue to serve New Millennium as president.

Prior to New Millennium, Hollman owned and operated a structural steel fabricating business, and served in various engineering and management positions for Nucor Corp.

At its Butler, Ind., plant, New Millennium produces steel non-residential construction components, including joists, trusses, girders, and steel floor and roof decking. At its Columbia City, Ind., structural steel and rail mill, Steel Dynamics expects soon to increase production of 240-foot and smaller standard carbon rail sections. The supplier also plans to boost railroad sales efforts.
