Renjel to manage CSX's strategic infrastructure initiatives

CSX Corp. has named Louis Renjel vice president of strategic infrastructure initiatives. He will report to Ellen Fitzsimmons, senior vice president-law and public affairs, general counsel and corporate secretary.

Renjel succeeds Lisa Mancini, who recently was named senior VP of human resources and labor relations. She had served as the point person for the National Gateway initiative, a $700 million public/private partnership aimed at creating a double-stack route to link three Mid-Atlantic ports with Midwestern markets. Renjel, who joined CSX in 2006, now will assume that role, as well as manage public-private partnerships in Florida and Massachusetts.

Renjel most recently helped manage CSX’s federal government and environmental issues. Prior to joining CSX, he was a director of government relations for Cummins Inc. Renjel previously served as U.S. Sen. James Inhofe’s legislative assistant, deputy staff director of the U.S. Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works, and associate director of environmental and regulatory affairs for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
