New York MTA shuffles executive staff

New York’s Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) recently promoted three MTA New York City Transit (NYCT) executives to other posts within the MTA family.

The authority named NYCT Executive Vice President Barbara Spencer deputy director of strategic planning for MTA’s Office of Security. NYCT Director of the Office of Management and Budget Michael Chubak will take over as acting EVP.

The authority also named NYCT Vice President of Labor Relations Ralph Agritelley director of labor relations for MTA Long Island Rail Road. He will be succeeded by Judith Pierce, who most recently served as director of appeals for NYCT’s paratransit division.

Finally, MTA named NYCT Senior Vice President of Buses Millard “Butch” Seay SVP for regionalization. He will be responsible for helping to merge MTA’s three bus companies. MTA Bus SVP of Operations Joseph Smith will succeed Seay.
