Wabtec subsidiaries to provide passenger-car equipment to ALSTOM

Wabtec Corp. subsidiaries WABCO Transit Division and Vapor Rail recently were awarded $22 million worth of contracts to supply air brakes, couplers, and slim-line door operators and controllers to ALSTOM Transportation.
ALSTOM plans to use the components to overhaul 238 cars for Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority.
The equipment is scheduled to be delivered to ALSTOM in 2004 and 2005.
