Tyco Electronics nails Bombardier wire-marking contract
advertisement
Bombardier Transportation recently awarded Tyco Electronics Corp. a contract to supply its LMS-9000 Heat Shrink Laser Marking System to identify wires for Bombardier’s M-7 Passenger Cars Program for Long Island Rail Road and Metro-North Railroad.
The LMS-9000 system uses laser-engraved, polyolefin tubing markers, designed to be heat-shrinkable.
Data files would be delivered to Tyco by email, then Tyco would supply Bombardier’s suppliers with preprinted, pre-kitted marker sets.
