advertisement
Thirteen companies have submitted Expressions of Interest to help build the permanent route infrastructure for Sydney, Australia's CBD Metro.
Sydney Metro is seeking contractors to design and construct twin tunnels for the 4.4-mile route, which will run between Central and Rozelle. Work includes tunnels and linings, drainage and cross passages, and excavation for stations and passenger entrances.
The underground line will serve Town Hall Square, Martin Place, Barangaroo/Wynyard and Pyrmont, and will become the spine of a future metro system that eventually will expand out into greater Sydney, according to Sydney Metro.
