Yesterday marked 100 days since St. Louis area residents passed a tax initiative to provide additional revenue for St. Louis Metro. Now, the agency is making progress toward improving service, Metro officials said in a prepared statement.
The agency has increased the frequency of MetroLink trains, set "realistic" plans for more service restoration and expansion, and created new jobs, they said.
“We told the community we would complete service restoration in three phases through November, but we’re going to get it done in two phates by August 30 — three months ahead of schedule,” said Metro President and Chief Executive Officer Robert Baer.
