SacRT reopens light-rail station

Yesterday, the Sacramento Regional Transit District (SacRT) reopened the 12th and I streets light-rail station after completing various upgrades as part of the Alkali Flat/La Valentina and 12th &I Light Rail Station Improvement Project.
Funded through the Sacramento Area Council of Governments Community Design Program, the project included new raised boarding platforms, shelters with high output lighting on the platforms, new seating and trash receptacles, improved irrigation, repainting and general infrastructure improvements.
