RTD-Denver calls for local transit mobility proposals

The Regional Transportation District-Denver today opened its call for local mobility projects as part of the agency's Partnership Program, with $3 million available annually for the years 2026-2028.
The program is an opportunity for local governments and transportation associations and organizations within the district to apply for funding for services or enhancements that complement existing RTD services or fill a transportation need, RTD officials said in a press release.
The funding application deadline is May 14. RTD will host a virtual question-and-answer session on April 21. Selected projects will be announced Aug. 1. Eligible projects include services that enable riders to more easily access RTD bus stops and light-rail stations.
Infrastructure projects or those already identified in the RTD's system optimization plan are not eligible for funding. A local 20% match is also required. RTD is committing up to three years of financial support, however applicants can request funding for one, two or three years depending on the project needs.
