Stations that experienced the highest percentage increases in average weekday ridership were Christopher Street in Manhattan, and Grove Street and Exchange Place in Jersey City, N.J.
Year-to-date, total systemwide ridership is 5.5 percent higher than the same period last year, with average weekday ridership rising by 5.4 percent, PANYNJ officials said.
"As the traveling public increases its reliance on PATH, we renew our commitment to providing service that maintains the highest levels of safety and efficiency," said PATH Director/General Manager Michael Marino.
PATH connects New Jersey and Midtown Manhattan.

PATH broke ridership record in June

Port Authority Trans Hudson (PATH) trains in June carried nearly 7 million people, marking the system's highest monthly total ever, the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey (PANYNJ) announced late last week.
