The Northstar Corridor Development Authority (NCDA) has issued a request for proposals (RFP) from consultants to assist in creating a transit-oriented development plan for suburban stations located along the Northstar commuter-rail line.
“The consultant will work in collaboration with station cities to conduct a market analysis of the entire corridor, which will support the cities in implementing their transit-oriented development and land use plans,” NCDA officials said in a prepared statement.
The analysis will explore opportunities to increase workforce housing, expand employment and provide convenient access to goods, health care and other services, they said.
NCDA, the consultant and cities will use the analysis to develop station-specific plans. Proposals are due July 27.
