NJ Transit opts for electronic employment application processing
advertisement
Cardiff Software Inc. Sept. 18 announced that New Jersey Transit selected Cardiff’s TELEform™ Information Capture System to automate the collection and processing of employment applications.
The agency manually processes 30,000 applications annually.
"Beyond the obvious cost issues, the slow process put our service level below where we wanted it to be," said Joseph Allen, director of NJ Transit employee resources, in a prepared statement.
The system enables NJ Transit to cross-reference active and archived applications with current job openings — and reduces by half the storage space needed to store processed applications. An entire year’s worth of applications now are stored on a single CD.
