advertisement
New Jersey Transit recently opened Raritan Valley Line’s Union Station.
The $24.8 million facility is part of the state’s Smart Growth program, which advocates transit access to communities serving a large commuter population. Several developments already are slated for the station’s surrounding area.
The 3,000-square-foot station includes a waiting room, rest rooms and vendors, a 464-space parking lot and 545-foot-long high-level center platform.
Union Station is expected to attract 800 riders daily.
