advertisement
New Jersey Transit and United Transportation Union recently reached a tentative three-year agreement.
Despite a $5 billion state funding deficit, the agreement includes retroactive (to July 1, 2001) and current pay raises, health and welfare improvements, and modified benefit distribution for surviving spouses.
UTU represents more than 1,000 NJ Transit conductors and some locomotive engineers. Members’ ballots are due to UTU June 20.
