Metrolinx has released a series of drone images to update the public on progress being made on the north end of the Ontario line, Toronto's new subway line that is under construction.
“Across Toronto’s northeast, the Ontario Line is becoming more visible every day as foundations give way to bridges, guideways and station structures,” Metrolinx officials said in a press release. “Over the coming months, residents will begin to see even more of the future subway line emerge above ground as construction continues across the area.”
The drone images showcase progress on the Ontario Line construction, including the following:
The Ontario Line is a planned 10-mile subway, elevated and at-grade rail line running between Exhibition Place in Toronto, through downtown to the Eglinton Crosstown light-rail line at Don Mills Road. The new line will have dozens of connections to other transit services, including light rail and regional heavy rail networks.
