MARTA names new deputy GM of ops

Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authoirity (MARTA) Feb. 20 promoted Philip Carroll III to deputy general manager of operations.
Employed by MARTA for eight years, Carroll previously served as acting executive vice president of operations & development and vice president of facilities maintenance.
In his new post, Carroll will direct the bus operations, rail operations and infrastructure management departments — which together comprise two-thirds of the agency’s work force and assets.
Prior to working at MARTA, Carroll spent 27 years in the military, serving in both local and international senior-level positions.
