LACMTA schedules information sessions on SR-710 alternatives
The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (LACMTA) will host three "All Communities Convening" information sessions this month as part of an alternative analysis of the SR-710 North Environmental Study.
The sessions will be held July 18, 20 and 23.
LACMTA staff will present information about the five alternatives that will be included in a Draft Environmental Impact Report/Statement for in-depth environmental analysis, LACMTA officials said in a press release.
The alternatives are: a no-build option that includes projects/planned improvements; transportation system management/transportation demand management strategies; bus-rapid transit; light-rail transit; and a freeway tunnel.
The proposed light-rail system would operate along a dedicated guideway similar to other Metro rail lines to increase transit travel time to key destinations between East Los Angeles and Pasadena.
