Kowloon Canton inks signaling system deal with ALSTOM

Hong Kong’s Kowloon Canton Railway Corp. Sept. 4 awarded ALSTOM Transport a $55 million contract to supply a signaling system for its East Rail line.
The order covers a new system for the 5.6-mile, two-station extension and a capacity upgrade for the entire line to enable 27 trains to operate hourly.
