Israel Railways orders trains from Bombardier

The Ports and Railways Authority-Israel Railways (Tel Aviv) inked a $30 million follow-on contract with Bombardier Transportation to deliver another six double-deck trains, comprising one power car and three trailers.
The original contract was signed in August 1999. This deal brings the total number of double-deck trains ordered to 23.
The six trains are scheduled to be delivered between May and July 2004.
