advertisement
Sound Transit Jan. 22 added two names to its senior management roll: Ahmad Fazel, who was named director of Link Light Rail Department, and Lee Bullock, director of the Sounder Commuter Rail Department.
Fazel joined Sound Transit in September 2000 and was promoted to deputy director of Link in early 2001. Most recently, he’s been serving as interim department director.
He previously served as director of planning and development for Denver’s Regional Transportation District, and systems engineer for Portland, Ore.’s West side light-rail project.
Bullock comes to Sound Transit from Amtrak, where he’s served in a variety of senior management positions since joining the national passenger railroad in 1973 — most recently as vice president - freight railroad affairs. He played a key role in forming Amtrak West, which provides service to California, Oregon and Washington. Bullock also has extensive experience working with Burlington Northern Santa Fe, which is one of Sound Transit’s commuter rail partners.
