Chicago Transit Authority March 6 signed a three-year, $8.3 million contract with DiamondCluster International Inc. to design, build and staff an enterprise program management office (ePMO) to manage CTA’s information technology projects and help ensure complex IT projects — both those under way and pending — are coordinated and implemented on time and within budget.
Projects already under way include automated vehicle location, enterprise resource planning, smart card system expansion and vehicle maintenance information system.
"The CTA is experiencing a period of revitalization and, just as we are rebuilding our physical infrastructure, along the Blue Line Cermak (Douglas) branch, the south branch of the Red Line and along the Brown Line, so, too, must we rebuild our information infrastructure," said CTA President Frank Kruesi in a prepared statement.
Catalyst Consulting has been retained as subcontractor.
