Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) and Trinity Railway Express (TRE) continued to set ridership records last month.

Ridership on DART's light-rail system in October totaled an all-time-high 1.85 million passengers, up 11.3 percent compared with October 2007's total. The previous monthly ridership record of 1.8 million was set in August.

Monthly ridership on TRE — a commuter-rail system jointly operated by DART and the Fort Worth Transportation Authority — totaled 327,500, up 24.1 percent vs. the passenger count in October 2007, when TRE set its previous record of 263,765.
