BART to obtain public input on proposed extension
advertisement
Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) is seeking public comments on the potential environmental and community impacts of a proposed extension into eastern Contra Costa County.
The agency already has obtained funding for the first phase of "eBART," which would extend the system 10 miles from the Pittsburg/Bay Point station to Antioch, Calif. BART would operate diesel multiple unit trains on the corridor. Future phases could extend service to Oakley, Brentwood and Byron/Discovery Bay.
The agency will accept public comments until April 15.
