Alstom and Export Development Canada (EDC) have renewed their Sustainable Corporate Partnership Agreement, originally established in 2023, for a further three years.
“This partnership reflects the strength of our long-standing presence in Canada and our confidence it its role as a strategic hub for sustainable mobility,” said Michael Keroulle, president of Alstom Americas in a press release. “By combining Alstom’s world-class rail expertise with EDC’s global financing capabilities, we are better positioned to deliver major projects and accelerate the deployment of cutting-edge, low-carbon transportation solutions worldwide.”
The agreement is part of EDC’s Global Corporate Partnerships (GCP) program, by which the organization partners with multinational corporations in fields with high-growth potential to support their growth and investment within Canada.
The partners aim to use export financing opportunities to spur projects across both developed and emerging markets while supporting investment in Canadian suppliers.
