According to its fiscal-year 2026 customer satisfaction survey, Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) has achieved its highest-ever net promoter score (NPS) and the highest level of rider satisfaction since 2019, DART officials said in a press release issued last week.
The NPS rose 10.8 points in FY2026 to a record 33.7, placing the agency above the transit industry median. Overall customer satisfaction reached 74.9%, the highest level since 2019. Additionally, 89.6% of riders said they are likely to continue using DART, the highest percentage recorded since the agency began fielding the survey in 2012, DART officials said.
The survey included over 6,100 qualified rider responses collected between March 16 and April 30, 2026. It covered all branches of DART service, including light rail, Trinity Railway Express and regional rail, as well as bus routes, GoLink on-demand and paratransit services.
The survey showed improvements across different rider demographics, types, and travel modes, reflecting systemwide progress, DART officials said.
"These results reflect our ongoing commitment to providing a safe, reliable and positive experience for every rider, and the work DART employees do every day to improve our service," said Jeamy Molina, DART's executive vice president and chief communications officer.
