Regional Transportation District–Denver (RTD) on April 16 will release a call for proposed projects that would improve local mobility as part of the transit agency's Partnership Program.
The transit agency will make $3 million available annually for three years starting in 2026 for projects that will improve local mobility. The partnership program allows local government and transportation management associations to apply for funding to improve transportation services that complement existing RTD services or fill a transportation need, RTD officials said in a press release.
Infrastructure projects are not eligible, and projects that are already in the RTD system optimization plan are also ineligible. Previous accepted projects include launching the Denver Connector, which provides free microtransit service; and assisting Smart Commute in establishing micromobility hubs at select locations.
A minimum 20% local match is required. Eligible organizations can apply for funding through May 14. Selected projects will be announced Aug. 1. More information and registration can be found here.
