This fall, Virginia's Commonwealth Transportation Board will hold a series of public meetings to discuss projects and programs included in the current Six-Year Improvement Program (SYIP). The board also will seek input on projects that could be included in the Fiscal Year 2014-2019 SYIP.
The program includes multimodal initiatives for highways, rail and transit.
During the meetings, transportation board officials will provide information about the SYIP, including all projects eligible for federal funding. The meetings also will feature open house sessions, during which representatives from various state transportation agencies, Metropolitan Planning Organizations and Planning District Commissions will be available to provide information and highlight their transportation programs.
Meetings will be held between Oct. 25 and Nov. 15.
