advertisement
Yesterday, the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) marked the completion of a $7.9 million Ryers Station renovation project.
The federally funded project included building a 240-foot-high level platform, stairway and Americans with Disabilities Act-compliant ramp. SEPTA also added new platform seating, lighting, landscaping, signage, canopies and a windscreen, and upgraded a parking facility.
The project began in fall 2010. Located along SEPTA’s Fox Chase line, the station is a connection point for three bus routes. About 700 trips begin or terminate at Ryers Station each weekday, according to SEPTA.
