Ohio rail commission to consider rail projects
advertisement
Tomorrow, the Ohio Rail Development Commission (ORDC) will consider several measures involving rail infrastructure projects at their regular monthly meeting.
Commissioners will vote on a resolution to administrate an $800,000 ORDC award to the village of Leipsic to build a rail connection to a “Job Ready” site at the Iron Highway Industrial Park, and a resolution to approve a $150,000 grant to the Wheeling & Lake Erie Railway Co. (W&LE) to replace ties along its Sandyville Line. The W&LE would provide $150,000 for the project.
In addition, they will consider a $105,000 grant for the R.J. Corman Railroad Group to rehabilitate more than three miles of track on the RJ Corman Cleveland Line, matching $105,000 from the railroad, and a proposed lease extension for the state-owned Glass Rock Line.
