Trinity Industries Inc. recently named William McWhirter senior vice president and chief financial officer; D. Stephen Menzies, SVP and rail group president; and James Perry, VP and treasurer.
Most recently VP and CFO, McWhirter has held various accounting and financial positions since joining Trinity in 1985, including VP of accounting for the concrete and aggregates division, VP for mergers and acquisitions, and EVP of the construction products group.
Menzies most recently served as group president of tank car, leasing and services. He now will be responsible for the firm’s freight- and tank-car, and leasing businesses. Since joining Trinity in 2001, Menzies also has served as president of asset management firm Transport Capital L.L.C. He previously was managing director of Newcourt Credit Group’s rail finance division and SVP of global business for GATX Rail.
Perry most recently served as treasurer. He previously held various banking positions at JPMorgan Chase and was SVP of finance for a teleservices company.
Trinity owns and operates rail-car manufacturing, freight-car leasing, inland barge, construction products and energy equipment groups.

Trinity appoints McWhirter, Menzies and Perry to top management posts
