Yesterday, RailPower Technologies Corp. announced it appointed Lorraine Potvin chief financial officer, effective March 15. She will succeed Peter Ballachey, who will leave his post March 30 after supervising year-end accounting functions.
Most recently vice president of finance for Domtar Inc., Potvin has more than 20 years of senior-level experience in corporate finance. She previously served as VP of finance for Bombardier Transportation.
“As RailPower moves into full-scale volume production, Lorraine's extensive experience in the manufacturing industries will be invaluable,” said Railpower President and Chief Executive Officer José Mathieu in a prepared statement.
RailPower produces the hybrid Green Goat® and Green Kid® locomotives at plants in Calgary, Alberta; Boise, Idaho; and Longview, Texas.
