Today, Wabtec Corp. announced subsidiary MotivePower Inc. obtained a $12 million contract to overhaul 70 locomotives for rolling stock lessor Helm Financial Corp.
Currently in service at Union Pacific Railroad, the locomotives will be overhauled at MotivePower’s Boise, Idaho, facility and returned to the Class I. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in the third quarter and conclude in late 2006.
Wabtec supplies various components and provides aftermarket services for locomotives, and freight and passenger cars.
