Kelso Technologies Inc. recently obtained a Mexican patent for its JS SRV pressure relief valve. The patent expires in 2019.
"This patent is the 15th awarded to Kelso for its JS SRV pressure relief valve technology and completes the North American patent package," said Kelso Technologies President and Chief Executive Officer John Carswell in a prepared statement.
The supplier has obtained patents or has patents pending in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Australia, Austria, Germany, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Italy, China, Netherlands, Spain, United Kingdom, India, Japan, Vietnam, Russia, Belgium, Brazil, France and South Korea.
Kelso markets the JS75 SRV pressure relief valve, which is designed to prevent product contamination and back pressure, and eliminate the need for a safety valve nozzle. Smaller and lighter compared with other pressure relief valves, the JS75 SRV features an unobstructed opening and flow aperture, and can be retrofitted to existing tank cars without structural changes, according to Kelso.
