Portec Rail Products Inc. recently became an authorized distributor of Highland Tank & Manufacturing Co.’s oil/water separator product line for the rail industry. Portec Rail added the line to its Enviro-FORCE™ family of environmental products for railroads.
Highland Tank’s products are designed to remove free-floating oil, grease and settleable oily coated solids from oil-water mixtures.
“We are excited about Highland Tank adapting their systems for our railroad customers, said Bruce Wise, Portec Rail RMPD vice president and general manager, in a prepared statement. “We see great opportunity for oil/water separators in car and locomotive repair shops, as well as in tandem with Enviro-FORCE™ partner UltraTech International’s Ultra-TrackPans® Spill Containment Systems in locomotive refueling, wash bays and other applications.”
Portec Rail supplies rail joints and anchors, spikes, railway friction-management products, railway wayside data collection and data management systems, and load securement systems in North America.
