HDR Engineering Inc. recently acquired PHAROS Corp., a real estate and right-of-way consulting firm. The transaction's terms weren't disclosed.
PHAROS, which provides real estate and right-of-way services for railroad, transit, highway, airport and utility projects throughout the United States, now will conduct business as "HDR/PHAROS." The company’s client list includes BNSF Railway Co., state departments of transportation, the Port of Seattle and Sound Transit.
"HDR’s extensive North American reach allows PHAROS to take the next logical step in our growth plan," said PHAROS President Judith Shulman, who under the new corporate structure will serve as a senior vice president and director of HDR's right-of-way program.
