By month’s end, DMJM Harris will be taking on more transportation engineering projects. The company recently acquired civil engineering/planning firm Korve Engineering Inc. and plans to integrate the two entities by Oct. 31.
Established in 1987 and based in Oakland, Calif., Korve Engineering provides transportation planning, traffic engineering, civil design, rail planning and design services. The firm’s portfolio includes the Bay Area Rapid Transit study for the Metropolitan Transportation Commission; Vasona and Capitol Corridor projects for the Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority; and program management and design for the Alameda Corridor East in Los Angeles.
A subsidiary of AECOM Technology Corp., DMJM Harris provides transit and rail, highway, marine, airport and environmental design and engineering services. The firm’s projects include the Second Avenue Subway for MTA New York City Transit, permanent World Trade Center PATH Terminal for the Port Authority Trans-Hudson, Alameda Corridor for the Alameda Corridor Transportation Authority and Mid-City/Exposition light-rail line for the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority.
