A. Stucki Co. has acquired ALCO Spring Industries Inc., which supplies freight-car, locomotive, transit, and industrial and commercial springs. ALCO now is a wholly owned A. Stucki subsidiary.
Bill Roschek will continue to manage operations and Clayton Baker will assume responsibilities for sales, A. Stucki said. A. Stucki supplies various railroad components, including constant-contact side bearings, resilient friction shoes, hydraulic stabilizers, draft gears and brake beams, and provides freight car and locomotive component repair and reconditioning services through its American Industries and Independent Draft Gear subsidiaries.
The acquisition "allows us to service our current customer base with a broader product offering while entering new and exciting markets, [and] is well-suited for the long-term goals of our organization," said A. Stucki President Bill Kiefer in a prepared statement.
