Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (LACMTA) workers represented by the Transportation Communications International Union (TCU) recently ratified a new contract after almost three years of bargaining. The labor agreement covers wages, health and welfare benefits, and work rules. It includes "major" employer contribution increases to workers' health and welfare fund, as well as wage increases that are "comparable to those achieved by the unions that have already settled," according to a TCU press release.
