National Conference of Firemen and Oilers members have ratified a five-year labor agreement with Union Pacific Railroad, the Class I announced today.
On March 19, UP and the union announced a tentative agreement that called for wage increases, additional vacation time, health and welfare benefits and minor work rule changes. UP and NCFO reached the tentative agreement before the current one expires July 1.
“I want to thank the NCFO's leadership and members for all their hard work during negotiations and for approving this agreement,” said Union Pacific CEO Jim Vena. “We are a stronger railroad when we work together and focus on providing the safe, reliable service we sold to our customers.”
